The themes over the last two weeks have been Stick to the Script and Just Keep Swinging.

Stick to the script means that even when the going gets tough, you stay committed to the plan you set out. You keep following the path you chose, even when the process is slow, difficult, or downright grueling.

Just keep swinging means you don’t allow setbacks or disappointment to discourage you. You keep taking your swings because the next hit could be the one that changes everything.

This week is about the next layer after those two.

This week, the message is simple: Don’t look back.

What Does That Mean?

At this point, you’ve created a plan (whatever that may be) to achieve your goals. You know it won’t all be smooth sailing, but you’re determined to stick to the script. You also know setbacks may happen, but you’re going to keep swinging until you get the hit that changes everything.

The next thing that will help you through both the grind phase and the success phase is refusing to look back.

Once the process has started, there can be no doubt.

Don’t look back and think about what could or could not have been. You’re past that. Just keep going. Stay focused on what’s ahead of you, not what’s behind you.

The AI Agent You Can Trust

The best assistants don't multitask their attention across a hundred tools. Neither does Catch. It's an AI agent that focuses on one thing — the admin work you'd rather not touch — and does it exceptionally well.

Scheduling, flights, restaurants, follow-ups, vendors, clients. You hand it over; Catch handles the back-and-forth and comes back with it done.

No context-switching. No dropped balls. Just your admin, quietly cleared — so your focus stays on the work only you can do.

Meet the agent built for admin, and it'll be ready to work before your next meeting.

Get started at catchagent.ai — and give your attention back to what matters.

Before & After!

This also applies when success starts to come.

Even then, you don’t look back.

If anything, that’s the time to go even harder and become even more disciplined about sticking to the script. As far as your swings go, you should have caught a rhythm. It’s your time now.

Part of not looking back is taking full advantage of every opportunity in front of you. Obviously, you can’t do that if you’re constantly looking behind you and thinking about what could have been.

Par For The Course

There’s one more thing that I think is inevitable in your progression and evolution: the pull/the temptation to go back to how things were before.

It may be an old job, an old habit, or simply an old way of life.

Oftentimes, going back is easier. But please understand that it is a trap.

It’s only so alluring because the current path you’re on is unfamiliar, and we naturally seek comfort and familiarity. What’s behind you feels safe because you already know it. What’s ahead of you may feel uncomfortable because it requires you to become someone new.

Stay focused. Stay locked in. Don’t look back.

Focus on what’s ahead and take advantage of the opportunities in front of you. Don’t dwell on what could have been, and don’t allow yourself to get pulled back into what is comfortable and familiar.

The discomfort is where the goal gets achieved.
